INDUSTRY MOVES RS Clare Appoint New Managing Director
After six years of impressive leadership and consistent growth, Managing Director Paul Vann hands over the reins to David Meadows, Director of Marketing and Communications.
Global manufacturer of advanced lubricants and high-performance greases, RS Clare, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Meadows as Managing Director, effective 1st January 2022.
David is now the sixth generation of Meadows’ to be appointed Managing Director in the company’s prestigious 274-year history.
David will continue to build on the business’s impressive year-on-year growth, with significant plans for strategic
investment to maintain a focus on innovation to achieve continued growth in key markets.
David’s role as Director, Marketing and Communications has afforded him a deep understanding of RS Clare’s customers in each of the business’s core markets, and the challenges they face. His position within the company’s Executive Board has seen him support the development of overall strategic direction, and the board has every confidence in David’s ability to deliver the next phase in the business’s growth and investment plans.

SIP Limited announces organisational changes
After 25 years serving as Chairman of SIP, Michael Hind has elected to step down with effect from 31st December 2021. Michael will remain a shareholder and director of the company. All at SIP would like to thank him sincerely for his support during his tenure as Chairman, and for all that he achieved for the company prior to that as Managing Director and co-founder, alongside the late Carlton Colcord.
With effect from 1st January 2022, Steve Spencer will step down from his current role of Managing Director and take over as the new Chairman.
Also effective 1st January 2022, Tobias Tasche, currently Marketing & Development Director, will become Managing Director.
NLGI member elected as a Fellow at the
International Institute of Physics Dr. Raj Shah, a New York based Chemical engineer and current Director of Sales, Marketing and Technical Services at Koehler Instrument Company was inducted as a Fellow at the Institute of Physics this week.
The Institute of Physics (IOP) is one of the world’s largest professional bodies and learned society for physics inspiring people to develop their knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of physics, headquartered in London.
The great challenges we face in years to come, such as climate change and developing clean energy are international in scope and physics is the key to a lot of these societal problems. International collaboration

is essential to tackling them. The IOP has international reach and global connections but is independent of government or any academic institution
or business. This enables them to bring together scientists and organisations from around the world, building the cross-border links that fuel scientific discovery and technological innovation.
Becoming elected to a Fellow at the IOP is an unparalleled honour for which Dr. Shah has said he was grateful to all his company, the management, his colleagues, and industry mentors who helped him so far on his journey.
