its e-book sales to date coming when its hardback was issued back in November. But its paperback’s staggering volume of 133,431 units puts it head and shoulders above the rest of the chart’s combined digital and print volume. Heather Morris’ The Tattooist of Auschwitz returned trium- phantly to the Monthly E-Book Ranking, in a personal high of second place. The Holocaust- set romance, which was briefly priced below £1.99 in March and was, therefore, ineligi- ble for that month’s chart, is having a remarkable run. It has

now scored second place in the weekly chart nine times, and would no doubt have bagged Bonnier its first Weekly E-Book Ranking and Monthly E-Book Ranking pole if it were not for Eleanor Oliphant’s even more remarkable run. However, The Tattooist of Auschwitz is not yet out in paperback, with its hardback selling nearly 40,000 copies—its moment in the spot- light may still lie ahead. Agatha Christie’s Ordeal by Innocence, adapted for broadcast on the BBC at Easter, charted 17th. It is the second time in six months that the Queen of Crime has appeared in the Monthly E-Book Ranking, aſter Murder on the Orient Express hit 15th in November. ×
