Raffles to open hotel in
London’s Old War Office RAFFLES HOTELS AND RESORTS HAS ANNOUNCED it will revamp the iconic Old War Office building in Whitehall, London. The Grade II listed Old War Office, with its 1,100 rooms
across seven floors, and two miles of corridors, was completed in 1906. It was the office to many of the UK’s influential political and military leaders of the 20th century. Raffles, the luxury brand of Accorhotels, is expected to open the hotel in 2020.
can be purchased. The price for all three airlines has increased by £9, from £12 to £21. On top of this, if the purchase is not made via direct channels, there is an extra £4 charge bringing the total price for booking a bag to £25. Lufthansa said the change is a “further step towards a
personalised and differentiated offer within airline distribution”. The group introduced different booking options, including the Light fare in 2015, with the changes coming in the areas of free luggage and seat reservations, as well as rebooking and cancellation options. The extra GDS charge represents another change in the airline’s distribution model after it introduced a €16 fee for all non-direct flight bookings in 2015.
