Lisbeth Smed Nissen has been appointed as Unidrain’s new marketing project manager with responsibilities extending across both B2B and B2C marketing. With 16 years’ experience, Smed Nissen has worked with plumbing wholesaler Brødrene Dahl, part of Saint Gobain Distribution Denmark and most recently as marketing manager at paint manufacturer Flügger. She said: “There are a great many parallels between my previous jobs and this one and I’m delighted to use this knowledge in my new position. I have over 20 years of experience in marketing and I look forward to bringing this expertise into play at Unidrain. My main tasks will be to develop and run a wealth of exciting projects and campaigns alongside other marketing activities.”

Paul Bruckshaw has been appointed by Caple as its new business development manager for the East Midlands, Norfolk, Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire. Bruckshaw has more than 25 years’ experience in the KBB sector. He explains: “My time in this industry has provided me with a thorough understanding of why fantastic service is so important. I’m looking forward to ensuring I am consistently hitting high service levels and supporting Caple’s ongoing growth as a highly successful brand.” Caple MD Danny Lay adds: “Paul is joining us with a wealth of experience in the industry and is a very welcome addition to our team. His friendly approach and expertise in the kitchen and bathroom industry will stand him in good stead.”

SIRIUS BUYING GROUP STEVE JONES


Steve Jones has been appointed as the new managing director for Sirius Buying Group. He was the former commercial director and has progessed through the company over his 16 years there, having started as administration manager. Jones said: “I am extremely proud to continue being an authoritative figure for our members and mutual support mechanism for retail development and efficiency. It is definitely the members’ company, but I will continue to look after Sirius as if it were my own.” Pete Gilks, founder member and Sirius director said: “Having worked closely with him to develop the group, I am very pleased that his appointment as managing director will secure its future and take it the next level of success.”

Uform has restructured its business development unit. Alex Lyttle (left) joins Uform as business development manager. The company has also hired two business development executives. Cathy Cassidy (centre) will oversee Wales and the West Midlands alongside the North-West and south central UK, and Chelsea Brown (right) is responsible for the North-East and North-West regions. Team members Susan Burrows and Adam Donnelly have been promoted to business development executives. Group sales and marketing director Wes McKenna said: “The appointment of a new business development team will be instrumental in driving new business sales opportunities.”
