Meier leaves BSH UK and Ireland to head up small appliances globally

Kitchen design festival launched for London

THE UK’S most famous kitchen district – Wigmore Street in central London – is set to host a new and revolutionary exhibition aimed at providing a showcase for the very best in kitchen design. Wigmore Kitchen Design Festival will take place in early summer 2021 and will be organised by kbbreview publisher Taylist Media. Taylist is also the home of consumer magazine

Kitchens Bedrooms &

Bathrooms and Studio, the leading title for interior designers and architects. The festival will feature the leading

showrooms on the street itself, who will not only be opening their doors to visitors, but also holding specifi c events, talks, and demonstrations designed to show the very best the kitchen industry has to offer. Alongside the showrooms, there will be a truly unique opportunity for leading premium brands from the kitchen sector to display and demonstrate their products and services. At Cavendish Square, which sits at the end of Wigmore Street, is a large, circular underground space that will be transformed into an awe-inspiring exhibition space called The Halo. The Halo will house a spectacular showcase for the latest products and trends, providing a winning platform for design-oriented, premium brands to be seen by interior designers, architects, developers and high-net-

worth consumers. Wigmore Kitchen Design Festival

already has the backing of key studios as launch partners – Boffi , Gaggenau, Halcyon Interiors, KitchenAid, Miele, Nicholas Anthony, Poggenpohl, Poliform and Roundhouse. The event also has the backing of Informa Markets, the organiser of kbb Birmingham, Decorex, Sleep & Eat and designjunction.

“I’m so excited about Wigmore Kitchen Design Festival,” said Taylist Media managing

director Patrick

Taylor. “At last the industry has what it deserves – an event that truly refl ects the incredible level of design and creativity that underpins it and one that can be used as a vehicle to promote those qualities to UK buyers and specifi ers alike.” The festival’s event director Andy Mather added: “The Halo is an amazing new concept, offering a unique opportunity for the design industry and consumers to see the best the global kitchen industry has to offer – all at one event. When all these ideas are combined, it gives the most innovative and forward-thinking brands the opportunity to show what they can do right in the heart of central London.” To fi nd out more about taking part
