In what it is describing as a “first for the kitchen market”, Keller has introduced a bio-based kitchen, called enduura, which uses material not readily available in the market. Its base model is MDF, comprising residual streams from the wood industry, whereas the top layer is high pressure laminate (HPL), made from kraft paper and a bio-based resin instead of phenolic resin.

4. Franke New waste disposal units Franke has redesigned its waste disposal units, and is releasing a range of four new models – each featuring a slim and compact footprint. The company says that each one also uses Twist Force technology, allowing each WDU to grind with “exceptional power”, with no risk of jamming. Several models also include a strong magnetic rim, which prevents cutlery from falling into the unit.
