The brief from the client was to create a whole new bathroom in a space that was originally a study room, so the new plumbing and waste were created from scratch, and a relaxing, clean, light space was the end result. We

problems that needed to be solved during the project. Shower waterproofing was one. There were potential challenges with the weight of the wooden platform, plus a heavy bath on top could cause us some issues but Piotr came up with a solution to use fibreglass resin for the whole area under the wood and the wall. This is a material used in the marine industry, for its lightweight properties and availability in several colours. The wooden platform and wall panels have slats, which means the waterproofing is visible and we needed to think outside the box to make sure it looked good. These challenges required us to think on our feet and adapt our design as the project advanced.
