MD Helicopters Delivers First MD 530F to Zimbabwe

MD Helicopters recently announced the delivery of a new MD 530F helicopter to an operator in Zimbabwe, marking the first MD 530F ever delivered into the country.

The aircraft was accepted at MD Helicopters’ manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona, before being prepared for international shipment and delivery to a wildlife conservation agency in southern Africa. MD Helicopters is providing a complete turnkey delivery solution, including aircraft preparation, export coordination, logistics management, and delivery support.

The MD 530F is recognized worldwide for its exceptional hot- and-high performance, small footprint, reliability, and versatility, making it well-suited for demanding missions across Africa and other challenging operating environments.

“This delivery represents more than just the sale of a helicopter. It demonstrates our commitment to supporting operators wherever they operate around the world,” said Ryan Weeks, president and chief executive officer of MD Helicopters. “From manufacturing and customization to logistics, delivery, and long-term support, MD Helicopters is dedicated to providing turnkey solutions that help our customers succeed.”

The delivery further expands MD Helicopters’ growing international presence and reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting operators across Africa with mission- ready aircraft and responsive aftermarket support.
