Airbus Helicopters EC130T2. This new IBF helps prevent engine damage in all environments and is approved for year- round operations. EC130T2 operators can now benefi t from reduced operating costs via industry-leading engine protection, without experiencing performance penalties.

Developed with the assistance of helicopter operators, the EC130T2 IBF features interchangeable fi lter elements for mixed fl eet operators currently fl ying EC130 and AS350B3e aircraft equipped with Donaldson IBF systems.

“We are very appreciative of the support from longtime partner Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopters and their fi ne helicopter tour program,” said Donaldson Aerospace Key Account Director Robert Stenberg. “It is a pleasure working with operators who recognize both the importance of IBF engine protection and our team’s dedication in producing high- quality aerospace products.”

The new Donaldson IBF system features a sealed intake plenum that replaces inlet screens or less eff ective sand fi lter/particle separators. Design of the EC130T2 IBF utilizes the existing cowl with minimal modifi cation, including incorporation of an aft-facing bypass system. The fi lter and bypass system are fl ush with the upper surface of the cowling, utilizing an internal bypass plenum. An emergency bypass capability is an important Donaldson IBF feature that is lacking in most traditional sand fi lters and particle separators.

All electrical components are easily accessed from inside the cowling with minimal eff ort. A simple compact cockpit switch, common with existing Donaldson IBF systems,

allows indication activation of the bypass system.

As with all Donaldson certifi ed IBFs, an integral fi lter maintenance aid allows for

on-condition inspections between

established service intervals, eliminating unnecessary fi lter servicing. The fl at fi lter design allows for quick removal and easy service.

Erickson Awarded First Off shore Oil and Gas Transport Contract

HRT Oil and Gas has contracted with Erickson Inc. subsidiary, Air Amazonia, for passenger transport to the off shore Polvo Oil Field in Brazil. Erickson will expand its relationship with HRT Participações em Petróleo, S.A. (HRT) with a two- year contract beginning Q1 2015. Air Amazonia has been HRT’s trusted aerial service provider since 2011, and Erickson has a reputation of expertise, strong past performance, and safety. This combination of attributes reinforces the company’s growing reputation within the South American oil and gas industry.
