Welcome to the latest edition of Little Learners


In this issue, we’re exploring everything to do with loose parts along with some fun literacy and numeracy activities you can do outdoors – or indoors if the British weather lets you down. We’ve also introduced some sensory activities for babies and toddlers and a fun fine motor finger gym.


The good news is that you are most likely to have some fantastic natural resources at your fingertips – so many of our activities will cost you little or have no cost at all. You’ll also find some excellent man-made resources which we hope to showcase in this latest issue.


We’ve introduced some fantastic new products in the 2020 catalogue this year, so we’ve invited two nurseries to review two of our favourite natural products designed to encourage more open-ended play.


It’s always nice to hear what you are doing with your little ones so we’re very happy to have Bright Sparks Child Care on board in this issue to share their story of how they introduced loose parts – a hot topic from the feedback we gathered from our previous Little Learners competition.
