A great collecting and counting activity to help develop fine motor skills and encourages the children to hunt for flowers, twigs and leaves whilst exploring different sizes and textures. You can also use a selection of natural products which we have used. Children will love collecting all the objects and sorting into the wooden bowls/ baskets. This outdoor activity helps your little ones put into practice the creation and classifying 2D shapes from using outdoor natural objects. Create 2D shapes with any natural objects the they find, you can start off this activity by exploring and identifying shapes in the environment first. Then they can create what they see. To take this further for they can make patterned blocks by joining several shapes together.
