Centrum completes South West digital transformation
Centrum Care Homes has completed a full- scale digital transformation across its five care homes in the South West. The provider has transitioned the homes from paper-based documentation to a fully systemised, digital care model, with all five services now operating using an advanced suite of digital platforms including Person Centred Software for care planning and Camascope for electronic medication management (eMAR). The newly embedded digital infrastructure also includes e-Learning, rota and team management platforms, a dedicated HR system, and an upgraded telephony network – creating an integrated digital backbone that supports efficiency, oversight, and high- quality care delivery. Octopus partners with Burghley Care to fund Halifax home
Octopus Real Estate has partnered with Burghley Care to fund delivery of £14.5m purpose-built care home in Halifax, West Yorkshire. The 72-bed, all-electric home in Hipperholme, Halifax will be powered by air source heat pumps and will include solar panels, targeting BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC ‘A’ ratings. The forward funding is being provided to
Burghley Care, the joint venture partnership between new care home operator Park Lane Healthcare and specialist developer Torsion Care. The home is expected to reach practical completion in August 2026. Max Weitzmann, investment director – care homes, Octopus Real Estate, said: “This new care home will not only provide much- needed beds in Hipperholme, but will also set a national benchmark for sustainable and high-quality care facilities; of key importance to Octopus as we are committed to delivering 100 per cent net zero care homes by 2040. “The agreement marks the continuation of our relationship with well-positioned developer Torsion Care, whilst providing an excellent opportunity to bring Park Lane Healthcare into the Fund, along with Burghley’s strong pipeline of sites across the region.”

Her legacy lives on in the compassionate care delivered across the portfolio of Elizabeth Finn Homes and through the continued connection with Turn2us, the national charity which owns the care homes.

celebrated with Founder’s Day garden parties, special menus, raffles, and the sharing of the Elizabeth Finn story. As part of the celebrations, three staff members, Steve Paris, maintenance manager at Rush Court in Wallingford, Sonia Evans, social engagement lead at The Cotswold Home, and Demi Hope, care assistant at Rashwood in Droitwich, took on charity skydives to raise funds for Turn2us. Between them, the daring trio raised over £4,000.
