Current Health, developers of an all-in-one monitoring device that continuously and passively monitors patient health remotely with the same accuracy as an ICU monitor. Following co-investment from Scottish Enterprise, alongside Scottish Co-investment Fund partner Par Equity in 2017, Current Health was then acquired by US based Best Buy for $400m. This significantly enhanced the company’s ability to expand at scale and grow its Scottish and US-based team. Scotland is also well positioned to take advantage
of the growing digital health market, with more than 135 innovative companies2

With a population of more than 5.4 million, Scotland has a highly developed health informatics system, with picture archiving and a unique identifier for every patient (Community Health Index or CHI). This
