TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT Updates
As we approach the end of 2024, the Institute takes this opportunity to reflect on the significant accomplishments made in our training and development initiatives throughout the year. Over the past year we have taken great strides to extend our training offer to include a greater range of courses that have expanded our members’ knowledge base. In addition to hosting free webinars with over 300 attendees, the Institute introduced two mentor training sessions, with a successful 13 members trained so far, and professional registration assessor training. These efforts have enhanced the skills and knowledge of our members, fostering both professional and personal growth, and helping participants gain valuable CPD.
STEM poster competition for youngsters
As part of its STEM activity, the Institute, in collaboration with Twycross Zoo, organised a competition in which young people were invited to create a poster. The Engineering Heroes competition has now ended, and IHEEM is proud to announce that Eva, Amelia, Lily and Sam, are the winners of a Legoland trip. They demonstrated creativity, passion, and interest for the way engineers contribute to the care of animals, the planet, and people. As we look ahead to the coming year, the Institute will continue to broaden its CPD programme and roll out an annual training calendar offering members greater opportunities to upskill and enhance their professional development. We look forward to continuing our work and supporting our members in achieving their professional goals throughout 2025.
