We Need Your Support


A symbiotic relationship exists between the Institute and its members across business planning and operations, where the membership is both a user group, and a support network to deliver and drive many core components of the Institute’s activity. For STEM outreach to be effective and engaging, research from EngineeringUK has demonstrated that practical activity and repeated exposure to the subject matter throughout a young person’s academic career are both key.


More detail on proposals for IHEEM’s STEM strategy will follow the upcoming Five Year Business Plan 2025-2029, for


which the Institute will be calling on individuals to contribute to regional delivery within educational establishments, and support the promotion of healthcare engineering to young people nationally. With the announcement of support of the Big Bang Fair, and the launch of the IHEEM Innovation in Wellbeing and Healthcare Engineering Award, the Institute is calling on members to support these initiatives by coming forward to join part

Responsibilities of the group will span promoting and engaging with schools to engage in the competition, comprising part of the judging panel for the IHEEM Award, and attending the event to support the competition and IHEEM exhibition stand.
