‘Prevention is Better than Cure’ the theme for Healthcare Estates 2025

IHEEM is once again giving members and the wider sector the opportunity to present at Healthcare Estates, with the launch of its 2025 ‘Call for Presentations’.

The overarching theme for Healthcare Estates 2025, which will take place at Manchester Central from 21-22 October, is ‘Prevention Is Better Than Cure’, reflecting the critical role of sharing and identifying lessons learnt from past experiences to foster improvement and avoid repeated organisational mistakes. IHEEM CEO, Pete Sellars, said:

“This year’s theme resonates deeply within the healthcare sector. Our healthcare estates and facilities sector professionals have immense understanding and experience, and valuable insights, that can collectively improve the delivery of patient services. Working together, we can ensure that we deliver a world-class healthcare service.”

He continued: “Knowledge- sharing is a key element of turning lessons learnt into wider best practice. As the largest annual gathering of leaders in our sector, Healthcare Estates is a uniquely effective forum for driving sector-wide change through the spread of individual and organisational knowledge. I would encourage everyone working

Exhibition update

IHEEM is pleased to announce a 10% increase in the floorplan for 2025, meaning visitors can interact with the broadest selection of equipment, products, and services in the event’s history. Each year the hundreds of exhibitors at the event make a huge collective effort to create an unmissable

showcase of solutions for all your current and future requirements. In recognition of this effort, IHEEM is pleased to present awards for the ‘Best Shell-Scheme Stand’ and ‘Best Space-Only Stand’ at the 2025 event. 2024’s winners were Sunbelt Rentals (Shell-Scheme) and Silentia UK (Space-Only), and in 2025 IHEEM will once again be recognising those ‘best of the best’ exhibitors who ‘go over and above to engage with and delight attendees’. The IHEEM Members’ Lounge (pictured) will also return to the Exhibition Hall as a key resource for members and non-members alike. Getting involved with one of the IHEEM Technical and Advisory Platforms, or with a local branch, is a powerful way to further your career, and to give something back to the industry. Once again in 2025, the IHEEM Members’ Lounge will provide opportunities to talk directly with representatives from these bodies, so you can hear first-hand about the benefits and responsibilities of taking an active role.

Members can use the Lounge at their convenience to take some refreshment, network, and discuss the work of the Institute with the IHEEM Head Office team. Non-members are also welcome to visit the Lounge to learn about the benefits of the many categories of IHEEM membership on offer.
