Celebrating the work of EFM professionals


IHEEM was proud to be a key supporter of the 2025 National Estates and Facilities Day, which this year took place on 18 June. The annual celebration offers a unique opportunity to recognise the dedication and achievements of those working behind the scenes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality healthcare environments. This year’s event saw 599 organisations celebrating the exceptional and invaluable work undertaken by some 251,000 estates and facilities team members across the UK. In honour of the day, and colleagues deserving of recognition, IHEEM CEO, Pete Sellars, visited the University Hospitals of Liverpool Group, meeting staff, visiting marketplace


showcases, and presenting awards and delivering a speech at the general awards ceremony at the Liverpool Royal Hospital. Reflecting on the event, he said: “It is hugely important within the healthcare landscape to bring

HK Branch Chair’s important new roles


IHEEM’s Hong Kong Branch Chairman, Dr. Yuen Pakk Leung, former President of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), has been elected Chair of the International Engineering Alliance (IEA)’s International Engineering Technologists Agreement (IETA) at the 2025 International Engineering Alliance Meeting (IEAM) 2025 in Merida, Mexico (see photo). He will serve for two years. Ricson Tsang, Honorary Secretary of IHEEM Hong Kong Branch, said: “Dr Leung was concurrently re-elected Chair of the Seoul Accord during its 2025 general meeting. These elections will enable him to play a more significant role in the international engineering community.”
