EFM staff’s contribution celebrated nationally
21 June marked the second National Healthcare Estates & Facilities Day, celebrating the achievements of thousands of staff working directly in, or supporting, the sector. The day was a great success, with over 500 organisations registering their support on the dedicated website, representing many thousands of people who provide vital skills and services to patients, staff, and visitors. Organisations celebrated in lots of ways – from pop- up stands (some with cake) at their sites, and sharing information and videos of their EFM teams across the wider workforce, to simply giving much-needed recognition and thanks to their estates and facilities management staff on social media. IHEEM CEO, Pete Sellars, said: “I was delighted to see so many of our individual members, NHS, and Company Affiliates celebrating this important occasion in their organisations. Once again it clearly illustrates the breadth of
professional services
they provide, alongside their unwavering commitment to improving the patient experience. IHEEM will continue to be one of the seven key supporting organisations for this day of annual celebration, and I hope it was an enjoyable and inspiring day for everyone within our industry, and those who work alongside them.” The photo shows IHEEM NHS Affiliates and Members celebrating the day.
