Healthcare Estates 2023, to be held at Manchester Central on 10 and 11 October, is set to be ‘bigger and better than ever’, say IHEEM and event organiser, Step Exhibitions, with a packed conference schedule thanks to a record-breaking response to the Call for Presentations, and the last few remaining exhibition stands selling fast. Commenting on how the exhibition
is coming together, Exhibition Director, Jay Stacy, said: “With less than 10 stands remaining as we speak, we’re anticipating a sold-out event by the end of April, which would be the earliest sell-out in the event’s history. The event continues to draw great interest from organisations across the sector, and we expect to have some exciting exhibitor announcements in the coming weeks.” Exhibition visitors will be
greeted by over 200 leading suppliers to the EFM sector, ready with the latest products and information to assist with both day-to-day and future projects. VIP visitors, speakers, and conference delegates, are invited to enjoy complimentary refreshments in the VIP Area sponsored by Wandsworth Healthcare and HSL Compliance, where they can also benefit from car park validation courtesy of Wandsworth Group, and the opportunity to go head- to-head on a state-of-the-art Scalextric display provide by HSL Compliance. For the second year IHEEM is
offering its members exclusive access to their own space. The IHEEM Members’ Lounge provides an informal place to relax, take some refreshment, network with other members, and find out about the work the Institute is undertaking. Visitors can also meet the Head Office
team at the IHEEM stand, and discuss the many benefits across the wide range of IHEEM membership packages. The IHEEM Conference Committee met recently to review submissions for conference presentations across this year’s five themes: n Health & Social Care Planning. n Governance, Assurance & Compliance of the Healthcare Estates & Infrastructure.
n Implementing Digital Technology & Innovation into the Healthcare Estate.
n Medical Engineering & Healthcare Engineering.
n Operational Delivery of the Healthcare Estate.
Simon Corben.
Submissions received cover topics including patient safety, digital technology, Nitrous Oxide ‘cracking’, Modern Methods of Construction, optimising hard FM delivery services, a case study of modular building to expand outpatient services, and masterplanning for hospital site expansion. The Committee was pleased
Julie Critchley.
