only for Erema recycling machines but can also be used for a company’s entire range of machinery. Re360 is able to provide transparent and clear visualisation, processing, analysis and long-term storage of MVR data. The company says that it offers process support by providing production and machine data for any number of machines. There are modules for different requirements, such as data monitoring, quality control, recipe manage- ment or maintenance. The Re360 Monitor allows the production and

process include production and commercial waste from Trioplast and from other European suppliers. The recycling process faces a number of challeng- es due to criteria such as printing, contaminants and the degree of moisture through transport and frequent outdoor storage. Despite the significantly variable input material, the quality of the regranu- late produced must be guaranteed at the end of the recycling process. Trioplast initially equipped one of its Erema 1514 TVEplus machines with the new process for quality monitoring. The QualityOn:MVR measuring unit is mounted directly on the recycling system and measures the MVR value in real time every couple of minutes, the time interval depending on the viscosity of the melt. The data is exported automati- cally and can be called up at any time. A message is sent to the user as soon as the values measured leave the defined tolerance range and the material with non-conforming MVR values can be removed immediately from the current process. Erema adds that recyclers of commercial waste can benefit in particular from QualityOn:MVR measuring technol- ogy. Developed originally for the increased demands in post-con- sumer recycling, it is insensitive to contaminant particles from 100-1,000 μm – an advantage over online measuring systems with gear pump technology, says Erema.

In addition, Erema has developed

process data of every individual machine to be viewed in real time on a desktop, including information updates on a machine’s current operating status or what maintenance tasks or checks are due to be carried out. For current key performance indicators, such as overall equipment effectiveness and quality rates, the Re360 Quick- Board provides fast and clear analyses whether it is for special shifts, orders or different company locations, as well as any production downtime and the reason for it. With Re360 Quality, quality-relevant values can

be recorded and provide alerts by email if they fall below or rise above the defined limits. This can include temperature, mass pressure and speed, as well as MVR and colour. Re360 Setup can be used for recipe management, allowing rapid machine settings to be achieved for the best results in a particular application. Finally, the Re360 Mainte- nance tool reminds maintenance personnel of work required in good time and provides a step-by-step guide of exactly what is needed on the Re360 panel of the machine. Re360 Mainte- nance ensures continuity in maintenance work and is an integral part of a quality assurance system, says the company. Starlinger Recycling

Technology has installed remote access systems for online customer support since 2010. The company says that around 55 customers world- wide are currently using this service to allow Starlinger experts remote access to their recycling lines to provide assis- tance. Starlinger recycling technology offers the cloud- based mGuard system by Phoenix Contact, but individual systems that have evolved in co-operation with customers’ IT personnel are common as well. Such a remote access
