MELT FILTRATION | TECHNOLOGY

technology designed to handle heterogeneous materials with high impurity loads.” Fimic has been appointed the exclusive agent

for Nordson’s BKG products (melt pumps, screen changers, and pelletizers) in Italy after its Polymer Processing Systems (PPS) division announced an expansion of its sales agent network in Europe.

Disc detail UK Extrusion works closely with plastics proces- sors across the UK and Ireland to deliver tailored extrusion, recycling, and ancillary equipment solutions. It is the exclusive UK and Ireland agent for Italian company Gaudenzi, which produces burr-free, micro-perforated discs capable of handling the demands of modern recycling operations. These laser filters, essential for main- taining throughput and material quality in extrusion and re-pelletising systems, are engineered for tight tolerances, long service life, and compatibility with leading recycling machinery, including Erema, Fimic, MAS and Break systems. The diameters of the custom-made discs Gaudenzi produces vary from 320 to 690 mm, while the degree of filtration ranges from 60 µm to 2,000 µm, with a tolerance of

10 µm, guaranteeing the absence of burrs. Further- more, the sheet guarantees a high evacuation capacity resulting in lower processing pressure and consequently less wear on the machinery. The com- pany uses cutting-edge equipment and advanced manufacturing techniques to deliver both standard products and fully bespoke filtration solutions. UK-based Clearfield Envirotech says integrating Gaudenzi filters into its machinery strengthens its commitment to quality, efficiency, and sustainable processing. “We value the innovation, engineering expertise, and reliability that Gaudenzi brings to our operations,” said John Ellis, Business Develop- ment Manager, Clearfield Environtech, Cheshire.
