Early-stage start-up company EsterCycle has continued to de-risk and develop its technology for breaking down a mixed feedstock of petroleum and bio-based plastics, such as PET, PLA, and PBAT, to their fundamental building blocks in one pot. “We currently operate at a scale of 5 kg mixed plastic waste per day using the lab facilities at the National Laboratory of the Rockies. We are raising a pre-seed investment round to establish an inde- pendent pre-pilot lab recycling 25 kg of post-con- sumer waste per day,” said Julia Curley, Founder and CEO.
