Small lots US-based Techmer PM has opened a small lot centre, to supply masterbatches and engineered compounds. Located in the greater Chicago area, it is equipped with a range of equipment – including set-ups for unique, highly loaded additives and fillers de- signed to accommodate complex formulas with precision and efficiency, it says. “This is a strategic investment, with the goal to redefine industry standards in speed and reliability,” said Michael McHenry, CEO of Techmer PM. “We are dedicated to achieving industry-leading turnaround times for small lot master- batch and engineered compound materials – ulti- mately enabling our

customers to accelerate their speed to market.” Orders as low as 50 lbs
are accepted. To further streamline operations and enhance efficiency in future, Techmer plans to integrate automation into the centre. The company has also
acquired Colors for Plastics, a provider of colour concentrates and custom colour solutions. Techmer says the acquisition enhanc-
es its capabilities and expands its product base. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. “This acquisition allows us to leverage the Colors for Plastics team’s knowledge and experience in colour technology,” said McHenry. Colors For Plastics was founded in 1972 and has two sites in the US. Current president Robert Dalleska will now become vice
president at Techmer.
Italian takeover Delta Tecnic has acquired Impact Formulators Group (IFG), an Italian producer of additive and colour master- batches.
Based near Milan, IFG was originally created through the combination of Ultrabatch, Masterbatch and Eurocolor. It specialises in additive masterbatches –
