Hendriks sees the transition of Dofra's mushroom industry-re- lated activities - including the watering systems - to GTL Europe as a logical step. “Watering systems were missing from the total package that GTL likes to offer its customers, and the 23 employees at Dofra have all made the move to Venlo." A total of 125 permanent employees currently work at the facility on Hudsonweg.
Director Jack Lemmen is also very pleased with this united force. “We started here with 1200 square metres in 2012, now GTL Europe extends to 22,000 square metres in total." He does not expect customers to be affected by the expan- sion. “The organisatio- nal improvements will also benefit customers. Our communication lines have become shorter, and we are ready to face the future."

mycel announced the appointment of Tim Harker as UK and Ireland Technical Support Manager with effect from
13th January 2020.
Tim comes from a farming background and gradu- ated with an honours degree in Agriculture from Reading University in 1985. After a period of training with Middlebrook Mushrooms in Yorkshire, he joined Tunnel Tech Ltd in 1989. Over the 30 years that he spent in the world of composting, he oversaw the change from a traditional Phase II business - producing bagged, blocked and bulk compost - to a highly invested Phase III business, utilising the latest bunker and tunnel technology. Amycel looks forward to using his knowledge and experience in the mushroom industry to promote its products.
