Expansion GTL Europe NEWS

Following a year of intensive renovations, GTL Europe's expansion project in Venlo has been completed. This focuses all of the company's activities at one location.

TL Europe consists of five different business units and companies, namely Engineering, Constructions, Controls, Equipment and Systems. The latter two BUs relocated at the end of last year, so that all produc- tion divisions and business activities are now concentrated at the location on Hudsonweg in Venlo. GTL expects this move to signi- ficantly increase production capacity and as well as further enhancing efficiency and synergy.


The expansion was made possible by the acquisition of the adja- cent building – an envelope factory – and constructing a new hall between this building and the original GTL complex. This created

space to relocate GTL Equipment (formerly Thilot) and GTL Sys- tems (formerly Dofra). The office space was also significantly increased, and the R&D department has been centralised. Rolf Hendriks, manager of GTL Systems and Equipment, showed us the new GTL headquarters. “It was a busy year for us, but we were warmly welcomed here in Venlo, and the advantages of us all being under the same roof are evident. The feeling of being a group has intensified and we can respond to developments faster, helped by the synergy effect of having the purchasing and sales departments physically close to the workplace." The premises and machinery have also been improved. “For example, the new
