are truly grateful, it proves again that helping each other out is part of the strength of the Dutch sector”.

A strong team As the damage to the two salvaged raw material halls in Wanssum was ultimately less than initially anticipated, operations there are expected to be operational again soon. “We are now working flat out to restart our own production and repairs in Wanssum are in full swing, although the hall we did lose is not expected to be replaced until Q3 of 2026.” The managers emphasise that open communica- tion will be key in the coming months. “We still get questions every day, mostly about deliveries. We can’t guarantee that everything will run smoothly, but through direct contact, newsletters and, for example, this edition of Mushroom Business, we want to be as transparent as possible about our progress. Our customers and the mushroom sector have shown great understanding, which we deeply appreciate. We couldn’t do any- thing about the fire itself, the brand new complex met all the safety requirements. Above all, this experience has highlighted how strong our team is. And that our core values - ‘Focus on Customer Success’ and ‘Achieving Together’ - really define who we are. That’s something to be very proud of. We promise to come back - stronger than ever.”

An article on the modern Wanssum facilities and location, and its many advantages was featured in Mushroom Business 118 (April 2023).
