A Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District bus driver received negative media spotlight after a local news report insinuated erratic driving and possible intoxication while transporting students. The district’s superintendent, Doug Killian, released a statement defending the bus driver and clarifying the events before and after police were called to conduct a field sobriety and resulting drug tests, all of which the driver passed. Great to see admin support for a driver/transportation department! LinkedIn/Carla Grove, Director of Transportation at Pittsford Central Schools

Well, that is refreshing, the school supporting a bus driver. Facebook/Michael Baboy Jones, former Terminal Manager at Student Transportation of America

Congratulations, you earned it. That’s wonderful. I’m also a driver, so I really appreciate this story. Hats off to you. girl. Keep up the good work. Amazing coming from Massachusetts! Facebook/Helen Mina

It’s wonderful when your drivers truly care about their riders. I’ve been very lucky to work with some absolutely wonderful bus drivers here in Peterborough (Ontario). They are a very special group of people! LinkedIn/Rob Woollard, National Diabetes Trust
