In focus: Crew4Gold What we did
Funded by the RYA, Sport England and UK Sport, The British Sailing Team and British Youth Sailing’s Crew4Gold talent search garnered a huge response with over 200 sailors applying to try out as potential Olympic medal-winning crews in the 49erFX women’s skiff.
Why we did it
Crew4Gold aims to increase women’s participation in competitive sailing by providing an opportunity to compete at the highest level. The programme was open to British females aged between 14 and 25 who are over 1.68m tall and have the passion and drive to succeed at Olympic level, regardless of their sailing experience.
