The 2024 GLCC – An Event that Excites Competitors and Spectators Equally

Carriage Classic (GLCC) will be held July 26 to 28 at The Ancaster Fairgrounds, with competition each day between 8am and 4pm. Friday is de- voted to Dressage and CDE Style Cones and is a point show for The Ontario Carriage Driving Association. Saturday and Sunday is the Pleasure por- tion of the show. Competitors will be able to choose from a wide range of classes and divi- sions, catering to all types of equines, carriages and skill lev- els. A new award, donated by Supreme Trophies, will be pre- sented to the highest point VSE competitor. Spectators are welcome


to attend all aspects of the show with no entry fee. The Agricultural Event Centre has covered seating, indoor wash- rooms and is fully wheelchair accessible. Food services will be on site during the show. All are encouraged to attend the many social offerings. On Fri- day evening the corn roast ($25) will have live entertain- ment. The Carriage Classic Gala,($75) with sit down din- ner, live entertainment and car- riage horn demonstration, will take place Saturday evening. A complimentary awards cere- mony will be held Sunday af- ternoon. Spectators will be edu-


cated about the sport at the Sat- urday lunch hour Carriage Parade and on Sunday at the Equine Parade. Carriage Rides in a vintage vehicle will be of- fered to the public for a fee on Saturday afternoon. Youth from the community will also be given an opportunity to par- ticipate in the show in the Sun- day Red Light Green Light Class (found in the show Prize List page 30).
