ORCHA News We had another great turnout for our second

show for the Ontario Reined Cow Horse Associa- tion, with close to 70 entries!. There has been a massive amount of interest in the Herd Work classes. Also, our new Box and Drive class has been quite popular, so we will continue to have it for the rest of the show season. I wanted to take a moment to thank all of

our sponsors, without whom these shows would not be possible. I don’t think we realize just how spe- cial it is that we can compete at each show for low entry fees and the opportunity for a high payout, compared to other organizations. And have fun to boot!

On that same note, of thanks, I want to

thank all of our hard-working volunteers for mak- ing everything run so smoothly at each and every show. Our shows have grown larger over the years, and it is amazing that we can get through the num- ber of entries that we do in a day, so efficiently. A

few special mentions: Of course, thank you to Jon Walker for letting us use his venue year after year! Also, thanks to Pat Miller for doing the announcing at all of our shows. To everyone who organizes the cows all day in the blazing sun for us, a giant shout out: Steve, Jon, Jennifer, Nancy, Lanny...many thanks! To everyone involved in feeding us... Thanks Dean, Steve, Jon and Betty for standing at that hot bbq for hours. To Shelley and Neil who scribed our first two shows. To Jen, who takes all of the entries, makes sure everyone knows what classes they qualify for, tabulates the results, and maintains our website. To Dayna, who makes sure all of the competitors are paid before they leave each show. To Craig, who runs the gate and offers each person words of advice and encouragement. To Sherry, who publishes The Chatter, and to all of our directors, both new and returning. Such a great group of people to work with. If I’ve missed anyone, I apologize....I just wanted to let you all know how much you are appreciated! It’s helpful that people are using the online

option for making their entries. This really helps to streamline the process, and allows us to get our shows started on time. Check out our website at www.orcha.ca to stay up to date . This is our 20th year for the On- tario Reined Cow Horse Association and we are still going strong. Quite an accomplish- ment!

“I am speaking on behalf of my horse Priscilla. She is very pleased with the way she looks and feels. Pricilla is a hackney breed and can be a handful to ride. Since she has been on SeaBlend™ she can be handled a lot better.” Priscilla & Daphne - Ontario
