Inspir 3e Trip-tastic Movie night!


Budding barristers


SIXTH Form Law students visited the University of Huddersfield to take part in a mock murder and robbery trial. Lecturers from the Law Faculty taught our students how to put together a criminal case. They were given evidence that included witness statements and photographs and from this, they formulated arguments using their knowledge of legal principles. At the end of the workshop, four brave students put on their gowns and presented their arguments to the judge and jury in a mock courtroom.


ON Wednesday 25 October, students from Years 7 & 8 enjoyed a viewing of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The movie night was organised by a group of Sixth Form students who are fundraising for a trip to Borneo in 2024 where they will support local communities through project work and conservation. Following the success of the Halloween movie night, the Sixth Form students held a Christmas-themed movie night, which was just as successful. Out in the field


EIGHTEEN of our Year 12 Geographers took part in their A Level residential field trip to Scarborough and the east coast. The trip coincided with the arrival of Storm Babet, which made conditions very interesting. Students spent their time collecting physical and human fieldwork data to support their coursework, looking at coastal erosion and the need for regeneration. They interacted with the public to understand local thoughts and opinions.
