TEMMER AND ROBIN GRASBY COLLABORATE
FOR SUMMER OF LOVE This spring, natural stone specialist Temmer was asked to team up with designer Robin Grasby for a collaboration that was then exhibited at Wallpaper* Magazine’s annual exhibition in Milan.
With over 20 years of experience, Temmer offers sourcing, extracting, finishing and supplying for a wide range of natural stone products. With showrooms in London, Atlanta and Istanbul and one of the world’s largest integrated production facilities, Temmer exports stone from its own quarries to over 50 countries in the world.
Under the theme of ‘with love’, Wallpaper* Handmade brought together a seductive collection of exciting designers including Robin Grasby.

GET CLOSER TO NATURE WITH NEW BAL

2018. Robin makes the material from marble offcuts in his East London studio, placing each piece by hand. This means he can control the colour and pattern of every surface, making each unique. The result is a hardwearing, low maintenance and highly graphic surface that reduces waste and celebrates the idiosyncrasies of the stone.
Robin was invited to create one-off designs for this year’s show, which celebrated ten years of Wallpaper* Handmade. Each object in the show was a labour of love and – new to this year – a collaboration. Robin collaborated with Temmer, and used its beautiful ‘Aphrodite’ marble, not only suitable with the aptness of its name, but also with its enchanting juxtaposition of colours in its natural design.
Robin created two tables using Temmer’s ‘Aphrodite’ stone, and the whole project was an example of a great multinational collaboration between press, international furniture fair, designer and supplier.
