ABINGDON FLOORING REVAMPS POPULAR RANGES
Already known for its success in creating bestsellers, Abingdon Flooring has updated its popular Rustique, Rustique Deluxe and Country Life ranges to help retailers keep up with demand from modern consumers.
Stainfree Rustique, a versatile and robust cut pile twist, can be fitted into any room in the home. This durable carpet exudes a real rustic charm in a range of ‘salt & pepper’ colourways that has seen it become an established favourite among retailers. Stainfree Country Life is a durable cut pile saxony suitable for a variety of home uses. Both ranges are created using 100% Zylon Polypropylene, resulting in Stainfree-for- life guarantees.
By adding a soft fleece bac, Abingdon is providing these ranges with a softer feel underfoot. This will make both collections easier to install, alongside improving heat and noise insulation.
BALTA EXPANDS LCT COLLECTION FOR 2020
2020 will see a big expansion to the Balta carpets LCT (Luxury Carpet Tiles) line-up, as the carpet manufacturer continues to lead the way in bringing carpet tiles to the home.
Already available on the market through the LCT First collection, Diva enjoys a brand-new palette of 14 complementing colours that can be coordinated throughout rooms. Giving homeowners the chance to experiment with transitions between open-plan areas, or simply to create striking patterns, Diva is a great entry into the flexibility and ease of carpet tiles.
Made from 100% StainSafe yarn, the 50 x 50cm loop-pile tile is not only protected from common household spills but can be cleaned with bleach too. Should a tile become badly damaged, it can simply be lifted and replaced.

weights and Abingdon Flooring will also be adding the heavier, Rustique Saxony back into the mix.
The Country Life range will continue to be a stand-alone offer but will be extended with an additional four colour choices, bringing the collection to 14 on-trend tones.
These are in addition to the bleach- cleanable performance that these strong twist carpets provide for end users.
As well as the new fleece bac, the versatile twist of Stainfree Rustique will be extended with five new hues. The range continues to be inspired by the delicate earthy palettes of the British countryside. Joining the colourways are Witch Hazel, Hopsack, Ash Grove, Walnut and Greystone. It will be available in the current Rustique and Rustique Deluxe
sophisticated effect to any floor. Moving away from the perception of carpet tiles as utility products, Primrose SQR bridges the gap to luxurious home- like wall-to-wall carpets. Made from Imprel Finesse solution-dyed polyamide for stain and fade protection, this premium 50 x 50cm tile adds a sense of wellbeing and comfort in any space.
In 10 mix-and-match colours, the carpet tile comes with Balta’s ComfyBack, a 90% recycled felt backing that is both lightweight and flexible for easier fitting, stable, quieter and more comfortable than traditional carpet tile backing. ComfyBack is another important part of making Primrose SQR a truly inviting carpet tile.
