“I longed for a classic dark wooden floor which would ground the scheme and fit perfectly with the age of our property.
“It was really important to me to be able to use the same flooring from the bedroom through into the en suite, so I had to consider slippage and water resistance as well as it being warm underfoot.”

“We also have a dog. Therefore, it was important that whatever flooring we chose was super durable and pet-friendly too. I sent for some samples of Karndean’s Handcrafted range, Hickory Peppercorn and Hickory Nutmeg, I loved them both but decided that the Hickory Peppercorn would offer the classic dark floorboards look to fit the scheme perfectly,” Anna added.
