BALTA IMPRESSES AT THE BGNFS

Balta unveiled a raft of new innovations, including six cut-length ranges and an exciting new roll programme, to buying group members at this year’s Buying Group’s National Flooring Show in Solihull.

Marking a return to traditional patterned carpet, the manufacturer showcased Stalcaire, a 100% IMPREL soft 1/8th gauge Saxony available in the printed pindot of Jewel and Fleur De Lys. Using a heat-set yarn to give the classic style resilience and longevity, Stalcaire is available in six colourways and in four and five-metre widths.

The growing Leonis collection of super soft and stain-resistant carpets also saw space on the stand, with the introduction of Tintagel and Lansdowne.

In smoky greys and blues, along with pale Meringue and White Pepper, Tintagel leads the way with its on-trend palette and lavish pile. Offering bleach cleanability and stain resistance, the classic 1/8th cut-pile comes with TwinBack for easier fitting, better stability and more comfort.

The expressive 5/32” cut-pile of Lansdowne is sure to make a really luxurious addition to any home, with Balta showing off its exceptional pile weight and a palette of 12 modern tones in soft pastel hues. Benefitting from the bleach cleanable and stain- resistant Leonis yarn, Lansdowne features TwinBack and comes in four and five-metre widths.

The fourth new cut-length style on show came in Mayburgh’s colourbank of

delicate pastel hues, made even more appealing with the beautiful silk sheen of IMPREL Opal yarn. With a precise 5/64” Saxony for a sophisticated look, this new style proved something of an eye-catcher at this year’s event, marking its in-store potential.

Of course, no Balta showing would be complete without an addition to the popular StainSafe collection and the manufacturer didn’t disappoint with the introduction of Castle Combe and the trend-leading flatweave of Wrest Park. Offering bleach cleanability and stain- resistance in 10 popular natural, grey and pearl tones, Castle Combe is great for busy family homes and comes in four and five-metre widths.

With Wrest Park, retailers can now capitalise on the burgeoning popularity of flatweave carpets in a StainSafe quality that’s so resilient it can even be used outdoors. In five designs, each in a range of natural hues, homeowners

can choose from stylish woven looks including the stripe herringbone of Long Water and the seagrass-like Pavilion. With 10-year stain warranty, this bleach- cleanable flatweave is looking like a range to watch in 2019 and beyond.

Geert Vanden Bossche, Marketing Director at Balta Group, commented: “The BGNFS is always a great opportunity for us to present our best introductions for the year to our important buying group customers. This year, we really took it up a gear by unveiling six new cut-length collections, including a stunning flatweave range, and a great new roll programme designed to bring the very best in quality, value and service. We look forward to working with the UK’s influential buying groups throughout the year ahead to ensure that our carpets can be enjoyed in more homes than ever.”
