Atkinson & Kirby, Aldwych Oak

Love it or hate it, one trend we’ve seen a resurgence of in recent years is wall panelling. A major benefit of panelling is that it can be as statement-making or as subtle as you want it to be, dependent on the design and colour chosen. This then raises the question of what flooring should match with this. Really, the possibilities for this are endless but a good place to start is to think of the overall ambience hoping to be achieved.

The image above features ‘Aldwych Oak’ flooring from Atkinson & Kirby’s Contemporary collection. The warmth of the rich honey wood is paired with a contrasting deep teal panelled wall. Falling on opposite ends of the colour wheel, the bold colours complement each other and create a warm and inviting aesthetic in the home.
