POWERHEART G5 AUTOMATED

EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR Cardiac Science

The Powerheart G5 automated external defibrillator (AED) from Cardiac Science provides a powerful combination of features that help rescuers provide sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) victims with swift, effective, and life-saving therapy.

The Powerheart G5 is the first AED to combine fully-automatic shock delivery, dual-language functionality, variable escalating energy, and fast shock times to help save an SCA victim‘s life.

Always ‘Rescue Ready’, the Powerheart G5 performs rigorous daily, weekly, and monthly self-tests giving users the confidence to know it will be ready when called upon. It includes a medical-grade battery with a four-year full operational performance guarantee, an eight- year device warranty and the industry’s strongest AED indemnification policy.

Manufacturers Cardiac Science have invested more than 20 years of engineering excellence to develop the Powerheart G5 to meet public needs in an emergency.

The device is durable and rugged. It has been tested to military standards and features an IP55 rating for protection against dust and water. There are a variety of accessories available, including wall cabinets and carry cases.

The G5 is very simple to use and takes the user through the process step by step using its RescueCoach technology. RescueCoach provides clear, calm user paced prompts to give first time responders the confidence to perform a rescue.

All installs are supported with access to training. Cardiac Science supply the Powerheart G5 to many industries and organisations across the UK including po-lice forces, schools, communities, construction sites, shopping centres and leisure facilities.

RACKEYE A-SAFE

A-SAFE’s new product innovation RackEye is an automation device that will streamline existing process, and remove the intensive labour and potential for human error associated with manual racking checks.

RackEye detects vibration and impact to racking structures, alerting users remotely when damage is detected so employees can intersect and take action, working with the device to assess and record the structural integrity of racking after each knock. The combined device, remote app and digital dashboard provides round-the-clock monitoring of racking integrity and real-time alerts when damage occurs, meaning facility managers can control a multi-site network of racking structures from any location. It is also incredibly precise, detecting damage that is not obvious to the human eye or hidden behind racking protection.

As well as manual racking checks, warehouses and facilities have to have historically rely on verbal reports from employees when damage impacts racking has been damaged – but mostly as a collision is mostly caused by someone being careless, or straying from process, this means meaning the problem often isn’t brought to anyone’s attention, let alone resolved safely.

RackEye’s role is to fill this void. The integrated intelligence technology, designed at A-SAFE’s in-house Research & Development Centre, can differentiate between minor bumps and impacts causing damage.

Once a racking leg is impacted, the individual device attached to that rack leg signals the users. Colour-coded lights glow red, amber or green depending on the level of risk, providing a visual aid and enabling immediate intervention if it’s required, and all activity is recorded digitally.
