WHAT’S NEW?

The new hospital-grade hand sanitiser improves upon Zidac’s previous formula by adding more ethanol and active ingredients to now kill 99.99% of germs, up from 99.9%, while still protecting the skin. The new formulation has been specifically designed for use in hospitals and healthcare facilities, as well as providing other businesses with hospital-grade protection.

ZIDAC LABORATORIES LAUNCHES NEW HOSPITAL-

GRADE FORMULA Zidac Laboratories, a manufacturer of personal care products, has announced the launch of two new products – a hospital-grade hand sanitiser and a multi-surface disinfectant to help companies continue the fight against COVID-19.

Zidac’s multi-surface disinfectant, also hospital grade, has been created in response to increased customer demand for products to clean high touchpoint surfaces such as desks and handles, to help keep users safe alongside hand sanitiser facilities.

The new gel will be available in 100ml or 500ml formats while the surface disinfectant will be in 750ml bottles with a trigger spray, or a five-litre canister. All products have been thoroughly tested against the British Standards Institution’s specifications including EN14476, EN13727, EN13624 and EN1500, with the disinfectant against EN13697.

These new launches follow a period of growth for Zidac, which has seen demand for its products increase dramatically during the crisis, with the company investing £5m into its Portsmouth factory to increase capacity in response.

Alongside its expansion, the business has also pledged to donate £1m worth of hand sanitiser product to healthcare organisations and charities, with the firm recently reaching the half a million mark through donations to organisations including St Bart Hospital in London, Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth, and Medical Supply Drive.

Luigi Jurica Weissbarth, Managing Director at Zidac Laboratories, said: “These latest products are the next evolution of our business, but we are not stopping here. We will now be looking at how we can better support our clients with further formats and products, as well as expanding our customer base into new markets and direct to consumers over the coming months.”
