PELSIS ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF NEW

ELECTROSTATIC ULV FOGGER Global manufacturer of hygiene and pest control products Pelsis Group have launched a new product to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

The Hurricane ES (Electrostatic) fogger is an Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) hand held fogging machine and is made by the group’s American-based business Curtis Dyna-Fog.

The Hurricane ES uses electrostatic technology to charge tiny droplets of disinfectant solution to create an ultra-low volume fog. The electrostatically charged micro particles repel each other as they are dispersed into the atmosphere at high speeds, delivering quick, consistent coverage and stronger contact with all surfaces for optimum cleaning

Initially made in Jackson USA by Curtis Dyna-fog, Pelsis now plan

to localise production of the fogger at the groups UK facility to fulfill domestic and European demand.

With regional lockdowns set to continue and strict cleaning routines enforced, businesses have a duty of care to their staff and customers. Fogging is now a commonly used method of fighting COVID-19 as part of a thorough cleaning and sanitisation process. Carried out correctly, fogging is one of the most effective ways to deep clean and rid an area of viruses and germs.

Speaking from the Pelsis head office in Knaresborough, Yorkshire, Andrew Milner, Group CEO said: “We’re very excited to bring the Hurricane ES to the UK and European markets. The electrostatic functionality of the product gives it the edge and is perfect for high touch at risk areas.

“Our technical teams have worked hard to get all the necessary CE approvals for sale across Europe and the result is a high-quality product which we believe can make real difference to businesses and communities.”

Vattenfall’s new offer is designed to support UK manufacturing, industry, transport and commercial property companies and provides a unique combination of finance, electrical design and installation, as well as operation and maintenance of businesses high voltage electrical infrastructure.

HIGH-VOLTAGE NETWORK MANAGEMENT SERVICE REDUCES RISK FOR MAJOR

ENERGY USERS Vattenfall Network Solutions, a division of Vattenfall, a European energy company, has launched Power as a Service to the UK market, building on decades of experience in Sweden.

With this new offer, Vattenfall takes full responsibility for major energy users’ electrical needs by owning their networks and managing all compliance, regulatory and environmental issues, so business owners can concentrate on their core business activities.

26 | TOMORROW’S FM

The new service, which is the first of its kind in the UK, provides major energy users with power services in exchange for a fixed monthly fee. Power as a Service can help major energy users by freeing up significant working capital from their high voltage energy infrastructure for reinvestment in their core business.

Unlike Energy as a Service (EaaS), which is an established model that typically refers to energy efficiency– related business models or subscriptions, Power as a Service applies exclusively to major energy users who own, or are looking to invest in new, high voltage electrical infrastructure.

Vattenfall takes on all operational and maintenance responsibilities and legal liability for the assets. In addition to this, working with the business, Vattenfall will assume management of any high voltage electrical upgrades and expansions, to help its clients achieve the capacity or improved reliability, to help meet overall business goals. Should an asset fail during the contract, Vattenfall will repair or replace the asset at its own cost.

Vattenfall’s UK clients will benefit from the vast amount of knowledge within the Vattenfall group, its significant investment in research and development, as well as the learnings and shared knowledge from decades of delivering Power as a Service in Sweden.
