AWARDS 2020 Loo of the Year Awards has announced that sponsorship positions are still available for the 2020 event, which is due to take place on Friday 4th December 2020 at the St Johns Hotel, Solihull.

For 33 years, Loo of the Year Awards have been acknowledged and respected as the standard for washrooms throughout the UK and in all market sectors. Increasingly businesses understand excellent washrooms are an attraction and not just a cost.

High quality washrooms that meet the needs of customers, visitors and staff must not just satisfy users basic needs but also be very clean, hygienic and meet the needs of various types of users expected – males, females, babies and children, and those that need special accessible facilities.

Throughout the Loo of the Year Awards’ history suppliers of washroom provision, washroom equipment, washroom products and services have used sponsorship of Loo of the Year Awards to promote their offering to Loo of the Year Awards entrants.

In the past, sponsors have included international, UK-wide and smaller- sized companies who acknowledge that Loo of the Year Awards are in a unique position to provide a range of promotional features and benefits which are unique and extend beyond the sponsorship period.

Loo of the Year Awards promote their sponsors throughout the current year which culminates at the prestigious Awards Event, ‘The Washroom Oscars’, which in 2020 will be on Friday 4th December at the prestigious Voco St Johns Hotel Solihull.

The event presents an audience of up to 400 guests, all connected to the

provision of washrooms. In addition to the awards presentation, there is hospitality and entertainment throughout the day, a supplier’s exhibition and networking opportunities.

Sponsorship packages are affordable and can be created to meet sponsors needs and budget. For more information contact Managing Director Mike Bone on 01403 258779 or mike@loo.co.uk.

rubber floor paint thinned to 20%. This was followed by two full coats.

The individual bays were to be delineated in a contrasting colour rather than the more traditional broken white lines. Bays 1 to 13 were to be painted blue and the two electric charging bays bright green. To achieve this the individual bays were masked with timber while the rest of the floor was painted and then treated in the appropriate colours with CF22.

BRADITE DELIVERS COLOUR-CO-ORDINATED

CHARACTER CAR PARK A Norwich underground car park has been given a bright and colourful, hard-wearing character thanks to Bradite’s high performance CF22 Floor Finish.

Cladspray Solutions tackled the job at Trinity Street where a basement car park beneath a new build apartment block needed marking out.

The client required 13 individual spaces plus two specifically marked for electric charging points. But the

first task was to prepare the rough concrete floor surface which had been used as a storage area for plant and materials during the construction of the block above.

“First we diamond grinded the floor to create an even, clean surface,” said Cladspray Solutions’ Business Development Manager Dan Ruegg.

“This will be the second time we’ve used the product and we knew it would be durable enough for the job even though it’s a single pack product,” he continued.

First, the main floor was painted grey with one coat of the chlorinated

Thermoplastic bay numbers and car charging logos were then applied by blow torch.

“The product is easy to use being single pack which means no mixing. The drying time for the three coats was a total of three days for the 700m2

The floorcovering was applied by roller rather than spray. Ruegg explained: “We find that using a roller we can work the paint in very well making for a really durable, long- lasting surface covering.”

Bradite CF22 is suited to both concrete and steel surfaces and is highly resistant to chemicals and oils. It can be used equally indoors or outside.
