Meeting the challenge IPC Group takes on the mission of preventing energy and chemical wastage.


Waste management is becoming ever more scrutinised in the wake of increased publicity surrounding single-use plastic and unsafe, unsustainable practices. Everyone from the large multinational cleaning companies through to local agencies are feeling the need to be ever more ‘ethically responsible’, minimising the over-use of resources whilst also providing safer waste disposal.


Conscious of its responsibilities towards the community, IPC Group has been hard at work developing several new technologies and systems, all aimed at reducing levels of energy consumption, as well as decreasing the use of water and detergent.


Among IPC’s range of scrubber dryers, the CT 81 is equipped with the Advanced Productivity Control (APC) system. This technology ensures that machines can be twice as productive, improving the cleaning quality without using more water while also reducing overall chemical consumption. APC gives users full control over the scrubber dryer’s working cycle, displaying the remaining litres, minutes left and the areas to be cleaned.


Meanwhile, the Eco Select technology – implemented into the CT 51 scrubber dryer – allows for the simultaneous decrease in brush and suction motor consumption by 20%, whilst simultaneously improving running time of the machine in daily cleaning operations by 20%.


ECS is amongst IPC’s most efficient innovations, and is a response to the need to make significant reductions

in water and detergent usage. This eco-friendly system grants a saving of up to 80% of water and detergent at the machine’s maximum performance. Applied to the ride-on CT 110 and the smaller CT 15, it lets these IPC scrubber dryers have a 15% lower energy absorption compared to traditional machines on the market.


Another type of technological innovation introduced by IPC is the Multifunction Safety Control (MSC) high-tech system, used in the PW-C45, PW-H28 and the other main IPC high- pressure washers. Enabling full control over the machine, MSC prevents floods from leaks in the machine’s hydraulic circuit, reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs through the innovative self-diagnosis system.


IPC’s range of tools also reflects the need to be more efficient and effective at waste management. The Group has developed new products with the purpose of reducing waste while performing cleaning acitivities. That’s the case for the Compostable Cloth, which is ideal in the food sector and suitable for either slightly damp or dry use. As the name would suggest it is compostable, made of 100% natural cotton, and is biodegradable.


Even the IPC BRIX trolley range – for example the IPC BRIX COMPACT COLLECTION – has been designed to optimise management of waste. The bag support the trolleys provide will ensure the correct and efficient collection of waste.
