Editor’s Voice
With the warm weather finally sweeping in and the end of the school year looming, this is usually a quiet time for the cleaning and hygiene industry. However, there’s a lot of
noise coming from our industry at the moment. A recent report is calling on Government to better acknowledge and support sector workers, while also pushing for the changes
recommended in the APPG’s ‘Embedding Effective Hygiene for a Resilient UK’ report. It's heartening to have so many corners of the industry pushing hard for change.
In this June issue of Tomorrow’s Cleaning, we take a closer look at the topic of Educational and School Facilities, with Liam Mynes from Essity covering the growing
unrest amongst students at the state of school washrooms – and what can be done to improve things. James Law from 2Pure Products explains how multipurpose products
can have a big impact on cleaning operations in universities, while Gill Ireson from Robert Scott reveals why you should make the most of the summer to deep clean schools.
In our Food Safety and Steam Cleaning feature, we learn about the importance of steam cleaning from Kärcher UK’s Daniel Took, while Essity’s Jeremy Bennett looks at ways of optimising cleaning and hygiene on outdoor food stalls. Our Specialist Cleaning feature includes best practice for eliminating graffiti from REACT’s Dave Rudge, while Juan Camara from Principle discusses specialist cleaning and what this involves.
Thank you very much for reading, and I hope you enjoy the issue!
