ARCSI rebrands as ISSA Residential
The Association of Residential Cleaning Services International (ARCSI), a Division of ISSA, has formally rebranded as ISSA Residential.
This move is designed to strengthen the association’s residential cleaning members as active participants of the greater ISSA membership community, representing the entire cleaning industry value chain. Members that previously joined the association under the ARCSI name will immediately transition their membership to ISSA rather than maintaining a separate division identity.
While the name changes, the core values remain the same by continuing to prioritise the needs and concerns of the
Joel added: “Sustainability is a topic that I'm extremely passionate about and I'm excited to help Northwood drive impactful, sustainable change. The business is making great strides in sustainability and social purpose, and it has really ambitious goals for the future. I'm looking forward to helping Northwood achieve its targets, not just by delivering on its sustainability strategy, but also by embedding a sustainability culture across the business.”
As a true UK manufacturer, Northwood is focused on a full circle economy. It's one of a handful of companies in the UK that is fully vertically integrated, selling as well as converting parent reels. The business collects more than 100,000 tonnes of recovered fibres and produces more than 70,000 recycled parent reels a year. 80% of Northwood’s products are made from recycled paper and all of Northwood’s paper mills now produce Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified base sheet paper.
Northwood is involved at each point in the supply chain, from raw material supply, tissue and towel manufacturing, end user product converting and transportation. The business operates across 10 sites in the UK, which includes three tissue mills. The ISO 14001 accredited mills minimise waste and impact on the local environment wherever possible. Working closely with the agriculture sector, the mills supply farms with manufacturing byproducts, which are used for animal bedding and fertiliser.
