EDITOR’S VOICE Hello and welcome to the September issue of TCF.

As autumn draws in and the kids head back to school, our sector gets ready to descend upon Harrogate for the annual Flooring Show. As well as offering the opportunity to meet up and network with other industry professionals, a huge pull of the show is that it highlights the trends and products that are going to be big in the year ahead.

One of the biggest trends right now is for bespoke flooring, especially in hospitality and retail spaces where the aim is to create individual spaces that wow and inspire patrons to share images on social media channels. With this in mind, we feature expert advice from Fleur Carson on how to achieve beautiful, impactful designs using LVT.

Every year the Flooring Show plays host to the launch of many new products, updates and designs. In this issue, we take a look at a new product offering that was launched to the UK market at Harrogate last year – wood-plastic composite (WPC) flooring. Already popular in the USA, WPC is fast winning favour with installers, homeowners and the contract sector; we find out why.

And from new floorcoverings to new installation methods, we hear from IOBAC on how magnetic flooring could change the way we work with flooring forever.

If you’re heading to Harrogate, you won’t want to miss our preview. Turn to page 36 for a sneak peek at this year’s Flooring Show features and key exhibitors.

Enjoy the issue!
