MORE DISTRIBUTORS SIGN UP TO RECOFLOOR’S TAKE-

BACK SCHEME Five new distributors from the Headlam Group have signed up to the Recofloor take-back scheme, opening up more opportunities for contractors and fitters in the Midlands and East of England to divert their waste vinyl flooring from landfill.

The new drop-off sites are located at four Garrard Waters sites in Coventry, Leicester, Northampton and Peterborough, and Mytton Flooring, Norwich.

Founded by leading flooring manufacturers Polyflor and Altro in 2009, Recofloor accepts luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), smooth vinyl and safety vinyl offcuts, loose lay and roll ends, as well as uplifted smooth vinyl for recycling back into new products.

Recofloor Scheme Manager Carla Eslava said: “These drop-off sites definitely add value to the network, bringing the total to eight now in the Midlands. This is great news for contractors and fitters giving them more local options to deposit their waste vinyl flooring for recycling and increase the diversion of material from landfill.”

Being operational from late summer all the new sites received guidance and support from the Recofloor team on how the scheme operates and also received a welcome pack, collection

bags and bins to ensure the scheme launched successfully.

Welcoming their participation in Recofloor, Richard Hurlston, Branch Manager at Garrard Waters, Coventry says they are pleased to offer an additional service to their customers. He commented: “We support the aims of Recofloor in diverting material from landfill and being able to offer this facility will help to reduce disposal costs for our contractors and fitters.

“My next steps are to visit customers and further build awareness of the Recofloor scheme and its sustainable advantages for their businesses.”

Carla added: “The addition of these five new Headlam Group sites means we now have 59 distributors participating in the Recofloor scheme and you can find the closest one to you by visiting our website.”

more. Every time points are added members are notified by email and there are surprises and bonus points in store to help maximise points balances.

There are two more simple ways to earn extra points – by inviting friends or colleagues to join or by sharing photos of Junckers-finished floors and products used on Instagram. For every new member referred 50 points are awarded and for every Instagram post which includes the tag @junckers_ woodcare and #junckersrewards 25 points are added.

Richard Geddes, Junckers’ National Sales Manager, Woodcare, said: “We are excited to launch such a worthwhile scheme for our network of flooring contractors. The programme is open to both loyal and new customers;

it’s quick and easy to sign up and maintain – why wouldn’t you want to earn yourself some points to spend on fantastic rewards when you’re buying your favourite oils and lacquers?”
