Creative Connections by Shaw Contract
A contemporary carpet tile collection designed and manufactured in the UK, Creative Connections incorporates three distinct yet interconnected styles – Understated, Interconnected and Interwoven – showcasing how an intriguing design narrative can combine with exceptional sustainability credentials.
Each style in the collection has a distinct aesthetic yet is subtly interconnected through shared design elements and clever visual threads that create cohesion when brought together. A phased launch strategy rolled out across 2025 built anticipation and invited designers on a journey of discovery.
Optimised for low embodied carbon, the collection is manufactured in Shaw’s carbon neutral plant in Sanquhar, Scotland, which uses 100% renewable electricity.
All three styles incorporate EcoSolution Q100 fibre which contains 100% recycled content. Products are available with a ComfortWorx backing for superior acoustic and underfoot comfort, or EcoWorx S backing which is fully closed- loop recyclable.
Through Shaw Contract’s complimentary re[TURN] Reclamation Programme, at the end of its useful life, Creative Connections product with EcoWorx S backing is returned free of charge and repurposed into raw material for new EcoWorx carpet tiles. This fully closed-loop process eliminates landfill waste and reduces reliance on virgin raw materials, reinforcing circular economy principles and lowering the GWP score of Shaw Contract products.
With almost 90% of Shaw Contract’s portfolio Cradle to Cradle Certified, the Creative Connections collection was developed with material health and occupant wellbeing at its core.
The collection has achieved Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver, verifying it as safe, circular and responsibly manufactured. It is Indoor Air Comfort Gold Certified by Eurofins, confirming superior indoor air quality for installers and building occupants, and Works with WELL certified.
Creative Connections demonstrates that sustainability and modern design can co-exist. It highlights a commitment to sustainable innovation, proving that responsible products do not have to compromise on aesthetics.
