FN NEUHOFER CELEBRATES 375-YEAR MILESTONE


FN Neuhofer held a grand anniversary gala on 26 June at Lake Wolfgang in Salzburg, Austria. The event celebrated the history of the family-run company, which has developed over 375 years from a small sawmill to a global player in the strip industry – with numerous patents for innovative products. More than 300 guests attended, including long-standing customers from over 20 countries, prominent people from politics and business, numerous employees, and three generations of the Neuhofer family.

Company boss Franz Neuhofer took the spotlight on stage. In an interview with presenter Kathi Wörndl, he talked about his early days at the helm of the company when he took over from his father, Franz Neuhofer Sr., at the age of 32. Now, with his children Victoria, Alexander, and Sarah, the 11th generation is already on board.


Franz spoke of how entrepreneurial thinking runs in the family and cannot be switched off even on vacation. “Innovation is the result of attentive listening. We pay attention to what our customers need and develop targeted solutions,” he said.

At the gala, Franz Neuhofer Sr. was awarded the highest honour of the municipality of Zell am Moos: honorary citizenship and the honorary ring.

Visibly moved, Neuhofer Sr. said: “I could never have done it without my wife. And my employees have always been the most important thing to me.”


In addition to the company anniversary, the senior boss also celebrated a personal milestone: his 85th birthday.
