ISAFE 70 IS UP TO THE CHALLENGE

Isafe 70 compact safety sheet vinyl flooring has been installed at Retford Town Hall, Nottinghamshire

Retford Town Hall, Nottinghamshire, is an impressive Grade II Listed Building built in 1868 in the Italianate architectural style of the period. Still used by Bassetlaw District Council, the building is also a popular event space with a ballroom and market hall that can accommodate all types of events including weddings, conferences and social events.

As part of the building’s refurbishment to improve council amenities and maintain its status as a popular destination for the local community, flooring contractor Lincolnshire Carpet Warehouse was asked to supply and install a fit-for-purpose floor by the main contractor.

Given the mixed use nature of the hall, Lincolnshire Carpet Warehouse knew that a vinyl safety floor would provide a hardwearing, safe and easy to maintain surface in general use areas and so recommended IVC Commercial’s Isafe 70 collection.

Managing director Joshua Hutson said: “Retford Town Hall’s mixed use nature and primary role in supporting the local community through council services gives a particularly challenging set of conditions for the choice of flooring. Not only must the floor be exceptionally hardwearing and easy to maintain for cleaning staff, but it also needs to ensure mobility for all abilities and ages, must be safe underfoot to reduce the risk of slips and should fit with the interior design of the building. We knew that IVC Commercial’s Isafe 70 could help us meet these challenges at a price that was favourable.”

Isafe 70 is a compact safety vinyl floor that achieves TRRL 42+ slip restraint. With a 0.70mm wear layer, it’s an exceptionally durable finish that can withstand constant use, making it ideal for general

HEADLAM CREATES NATIONAL SALESFORCE

Headlam Group has announced important changes to its Residential Product brands’ sales teams to create one national salesforce.

The Group brings six of its product brands – comprising Kingsmead Carpets, Manx Tomkinson, Kersaint Cobb, Fells Carpets, Gaskell Wool Rich and Telenzo – together under the umbrella of Headlam Brands, to create one national sales team.

With the goal of streamlining the buying process for customers, this change will make doing business with Headlam easier. Customers will be serviced by one dedicated local area sales manager (ASM) for all six brands, will have access to one central buying portal and will enjoy clearer pricing structures. This will not only remove duplication but will also streamline account admin and ordering processes.

United under one head of sales, Keith Morgan, a 28-strong salesforce will be supported by two regional sales managers, Stewart Hollands for the North and Dave Watson for the South. Each ASM will be a single point of contact, across a smaller geographical area for all six brands, ensuring customers across the country continue to receive exceptional customer service. Headlam will also be investing circa £500,000 in new sampling for its sales team to ensure customers have visibility of the full Headlam Brands offering.

Commenting on the change, Keith said: “In September 2024, Headlam announced plans to accelerate its customer-led growth strategy by simplifying our business model. This next chapter in the transformation story brings further simplification to our existing Residential Product brands’ sales team. We took the time to listen to our customers and their valuable insights have shaped our strategy for the better.

“These changes ensure we keep our customers at the heart of everything we do, offering them more products, nationwide availability and streamlined ordering processes; making working with Headlam easier and more convenient. use areas where safety is a concern. Using Hypergrip+ to aid maintenance and maintain appearance, as well as deliver a more natural look, the floor is available in a wide range of wood plank, herringbone and material effects.

Bassetlaw District Council opted for Light Green 523 to match décor in the building with Lincolnshire Carpet Warehouse installing a total of 120m² of the floor in general areas.
