F. Ball and Co. Ltd. has drawn upon the latest cement formulation technology to create a ‘best-in-class’ high flow smoothing compound: Stopgap 1400.
A two-component smoothing compound, with superior self- smoothing properties, Stopgap 1400 is walk-on hard from just 90 minutes after application and ready to receive floorcoverings from 12 hours.
It is also suitable for use where normal underfloor heating systems are contained within a subfloor, as well as to encapsulate retrofitted electrical wired systems. Furthermore, its low-odour, protein-free formulation allows it to be used in biologically sensitive areas and where adjacent areas remain open.
Stopgap 1400 can be applied between 2 – 10mm thick to a wide range of absorbent and non-absorbent subfloors, including sand/ cement and calcium sulphate (e.g. anhydrite) screeds, concrete, granolithic, sound asphalt, terrazzo, epoxy and polyurethane resins, ceramic and quarry tiles, as well as Stopgap waterproof surface membranes.

The Stubbi Capp is a multi-purpose capping profile roller that is revolutionising the installation of PVC capping and coving flooring components in commercial vinyl.
The Stubbi Capp has been thoughtfully designed and engineered to solve the vertical failure points commonly associated with commercial vinyl capping installations. The heavyweight roller has a precision engineered profile to fit snugly against the outer surface of PVC capping strips and is exclusively modelled on Quantum's (QCC1) capping profile.
The Stubbi Capp effortlessly delivers an exceptional bond between the adhered surfaces where these components are repeatedly exposed to the hazardous conditions of commercial work environments. In applications such as industrial kitchens, wetrooms, labs, factories and transport fit-outs, weakening of the adhesive bond along with the gravitational pull of downwards weight will often be an early cause of failure in these products.
The traditional means of installing PVC capping strips has been by push-fit only and is inferior when compared to the smooth but heavy, bearing driven profile of the Stubbi Capp.
