The mercury’s plummeted as we head into the final few weeks of 2024, and the cleaning and hygiene industry can look back on a satisfying, successful 12 months. Massive trade shows highlighted how bright the future is for cleaning in

terms of technology and innovation, while developments like the Level 2 Cleaning Hygiene Operative Apprenticeship are making the industry a more appealing prospect for the next generation.

2025 looks set to be one of further growth for the industry, especially as we look forward to the London Cleaning Show in March. Set to be the biggest Cleaning Show ever held – both physically and in terms of attendee numbers – it should spur on further growth in the market as more breakthroughs arrive.

In this December issue of Tomorrow’s Cleaning, our Washroom Hygiene focus includes Essity’s Lee Radzki looking into why public toilets can be an issue for some users, and he considers how washroom access can be improved for everyone. On a related note, Becky Wall from the Loo of the Year Awards digs into

the rapidly dwindling numbers of public washrooms, highlighting why their removal is such a problem. Northwood’s Paul Mulready explains why washroom hygiene is

important for fighting the norovirus, and Simply Washroom’s Sam Stock discusses inclusivity with male hygiene bins.

Elsewhere, in our Commercial Laundry section, SEKO reveals how they upgraded a client for more efficient, venturi-powered laundry dosing, and Christeyns UK

helps a Great Yarmouth laundry become EPIC. Finally, in our Waste Management feature, OCS UK’s Sean Fisher speaks to us about understanding sustainable waste management in cleaning.

Thank you very much for reading, and I hope you enjoy the issue!
